Empowering Tomorrow’s Behavioral Health Leaders
Who We Are
Inclusive TEAMS (Inclusive Treatment, Empowerment, Assessments, Mentorship and Social Work Services) supports and prepares UNC School of Social Work MSW students for the behavioral health workforce by providing training in culturally responsive practices to address critical behavioral health needs of BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ youth and families in North Carolina.

Student Voices
“I was drawn to Inclusive TEAMS because I believe wholeheartedly that I was created to be the safe and meaningful presence that was never offered to me in my own upbringing. I am most excited to get plugged in with my clients and begin creating spaces where we can journey together in the therapeutic process.”

Inclusive TEAMS Impact
Since Inclusive TEAMS was created in 2023, we have trained over 30 UNC-Chapel Hill Master of Social Work students in providing culturally-responsive care to BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ youth and families. Collectively our students have provided over 18,000 hours of free direct service to these populations in the state of North Carolina.
